Professor Wiem DOUIRA-KHOMSI has a standing expertise as a senior in Pediatric Radiology, being the Head of department of radiology in the Children Hospital of Tunis, Tunisia since 2019. Prof. DOUIRA-KHOMSI graduated in 1997 in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tunis, Tunisia, followed by specializations in Radiogy (2003) and Pediatric Radiology (2010).
Scientific activity of Prof. DOUIRA-KHOMSI included the publication of 89 ISI Web of Science publications, cited 261 times in other ISI journals (ISI Web of Science accessed December 2020), leading to a Hirsch index (h-index) of 9. Also, Prof. DOUIRA-KHOMSI has participated with Prof Hassen GHARBI in the writing of 2 book chapters published.
Prof. DOUIRA-KHOMSI is member of several scientific societies in Tunisia and abroad, including the Tunisian Society of Radiology (STR), the Tunisian Society of Pediatry (STP), the Tunisian Society of Doppler and Ultrasound (STED), Tunisian Association for Radiation Protection against ionizing and non-ionizing radiation (ATPRI&NI), French Society of Radiology (SFR), French Society of Pediatric and Perinatal Imaging (SFIPP), French College of Fetal Ultrasound (CFEF).
During past 20 years, Dr. DOUIRA-KHOMSI took part at more than 40 international congresses, symposiums and workshops, through conferences, oral presentations, workshops and posters displayed. Prof. DOUIRA taught more than 250 hours at the Tunisian Medical School, the Higher School of Health Sciences and Techniques in Tunis and Specialty Colleges.
