Do you want to contribute to WFUMB’s mission of providing medical ultrasound education to countries where there is need?
We are looking for volunteers to help teach Ultrasound at our Centres of Education (CoE’s)
WFUMB Center of Education (CoE) is the name for an institution, which offers education in ultrasound for doctors and medical personnel at least once a year. It is established on the recommendation of the ultrasound Society of its country or region and recognized by WFUMB. A dedicated and responsible person is appointed as Director and is in charge of the CoE.
According to WHO approximately 2/3 of the world’s population has no access to medical imaging of any kind.
Through our Centers of Education WFUMB supports ultrasound education in low resource areas at 19 locations around the globe. We aim to build a network of tutors to support these CoE’s and enable them to offer regular ultrasound courses. By recruiting new teaching talent we can share ideas on how to teach ultrasound and new ways to bring ultrasound to the farthest areas of the globe.
